Are you a researcher, filmmaker, broadcaster, videographer or screen image artist critically exploring celebrity culture and journalism in media?

Receive an exclusive screening opportunity of your work and eligibility for $100 CMCS screen award at the Celebrity Chat (CC) Screening session in Barcelona, Spain! The screening will offer an international platform for creative researchers, filmmakers, broadcasters, and video artists that critically engage with popular culture, fame and journalism. It will also offer an opportunity to be interviewed for our year-long video series. Entrance will be determined upon evaluation by our review committee.

Entry guidelines:

  • 250-word proposal
  • Original short films, video presentations, recorded interviews, media installations, audiovisual performances, and network based projects (max 30 mins)
  • Include a title, your name, e-mail address, and affiliation if applicable
  • Submit the proposal to Chairs Dr Jackie Raphael and Dr Celia Lam at celeb.studies@gmail.com
  • Entry deadline: December 31, 2015
  • Notification of acceptance: January 20, 2016
  • Pre-screening reception: July 3, 2016
  • Screening dates: July 4-5, 2016

Registration includes: Your printed conference package, catered lunch, coffee / tea breaks, evening drinks, professional development workshop, eligibility to publish in edited book, and consideration for the $100 best screen award.
