Centre for Media and Celebrity Studies (CMCS) invites you to join and engage with rising actors in Hollywood on Friday, June 25! This talk particularly aims to inspire and engage film & TV audience, journalists, and scholars learning about artistic approaches, creative processes, and ethical reasons behind Hollywood tabloid press in celebrity culture.

GEORGE TSOURIS
grew up in Los Angeles and now lives in New York. He is a professor of Japanese literature, philosophy, and education with the City University of New York (CUNY). He has worked in the education field since 2002 as a teacher, administrator, and private consultant. He has composed, produced, and directed new and old operas, animation, video games, and movies. Jenna Doolittle (a Doolittle who does a lot!) is an actor advocate, a career coach for actors and a working actor herself. Jenna has appeared on shows like American Horror Story, NOS4A2, and Scandal. But she is probably best known for her work creating the Actors Rise Newsletter, a free weekly newsletter full of advice, discounts, tips and resources for actors, which recently landed Jenna in The New York Times. Casey Llyod Casey Lloyd is a movement based, character actor residing in Los Angeles, California. He has 19 years of acting experience in the film and television industry. As Casey is a huge fantasy nerd and gamer he is laser focused on building his resume around films and videogames in this genre. Dr Evie Psarras is an independent researcher with a PhD in Communication from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her work explores the socio-cultural implications of old and new media, digital labor, and celebrity.
